Welcome

Cornerstone Welcomes NEW Headmaster

The CCA Board has selected Barbara Wilson to succeed Greg Swenson as Headmaster in the 2013-14 school year.
A Georgetown University graduate and resident of the area since 1984, Barbara brings broad experience teaching students from pre-school to college in public and independent schools, and administrative skills honed in Admissions, Marketing & Communications at the University of New Hampshire School of Law.  Most recently, Barbara has run her own Content Marketing Strategies firm, serving clients in New England and the Mid-Atlantic states.
“I am excited to join Cornerstone,” says Barbara.  “Perhaps the only thing more energizing than seeing the lights go on in a student’s eyes  when they suddenly ‘get’ an educational concept, is realizing that the lessons children learn beyond the books at CCA are the ones that will shape generations eternally.”
Barbara worships at First Congregational Church of Ossipee, but her face will be familiar to many through her collaborative ministry work with youth, free clothing, single moms and elder outreach.
Barbara and her husband Glenn (Technology Department head and Technical Drawing & Architecture teacher at Kingswood Regional High School) live in Center Tuftonboro.  They have two daughters:  Emma is currently pursuing her Master’s in School Counseling at UNH, and Taylor studies math and physics at University of Mary Washington in Virginia.
