Cornerstone’s Admission Procedures are listed below. If you have any questions regarding any of the following steps, please feel free to contact us.
Each applicant shall submit a completed:
- Application for admission, including student essay when applicable
- Registration card (available from CCA Office) and the non-refundable $50 application fee
- Student appraisal completed by a third party along with a copy of the student's most recent report card and progress report
- Request for release of records authorizing Cornerstone Christian Academy to view the student’s cumulative file, any I.E.P. information, etc.
- Signed copy of the Parent/Student Contract agreeing to abide by the policies of Cornerstone Christian Academy, observe the dress requirements and the Statement of Faith (We believe...)
The student will also:
- Spend a day in class at our school
- Be interviewed by the Head of School
- Complete verbal and non-verbal standardized placement testing (Grades 2-8) Testing will generally be administered during the visit at the school
- Demonstrate a strong desire to attend Cornerstone Christian Academy
- Possess an acceptable record of behavior and academic achievement at other schools
Age Requirements - Student seeking admission to:
- Preschool shall be age 4 by September 30
- Kindergarten shall be age 5 by September 30
- Grade 1 shall be age 6 by September 30
In addition, each Preschool/Kindergarten applicant will need:
- To provide a copy of the child’s birth certificate
- To complete a readiness assessment with the classroom teacher
