The study of art is essential in the education of
the whole child. It is Cornerstone’s goal to provide a meaningful
contribution to each student’s
creative and artistic development and be committed to supporting the arts
within the surrounding communities.
The
art experience allows the student to:
- Observe
carefully and record one's observations
- Organize
ideas and express feelings
- Work
with purpose
- Respect
one's self through one's achievements
- Communicate
- Discover one's
point of view
- Appreciate
different viewpoints and cultures
- Create
change in one's environment using a wide range of media
- Make
aesthetic discoveries and judgments
Throughout
the school year the students’
works are displayed around the school, providing students with a sense
of achievement, fulfillment, and accomplishment. |
