Cornerstone Christian Academy – Harvest Festival & Race for Education

Cornerstone Christian Academy’s campus was bubbling with enthusiasm on Saturday morning, October 15th as students, friends and family gathered to celebrate Cornerstone’s annual Harvest Festival and Race for Education.  Headmaster, Greg Swenson, along with teachers, staff, family and friends cheered and danced along to music as students began their day with a race.    Students ran, jogged and walked around a ¼ track for 45 minutes as a fundraiser to raise money for the school.  Over $12,000.00 was collected in donations.  Proceeds from this fundraiser are used by Cornerstone to help keep tuition as affordable as possible for its families.

Face painting, a giant jumbo slide, pumpkin bowling, belly bumpers, a photo both and many other games kept the students busy and happy after the race.  The Harvest Festival Apple Pie and Chili Cook-off entries were bountiful.  After delicious deliberation, judges awarded Dr. Jim Noble of Wolfeboro first place for his chili entry and First place to Ken Gagne of Alton for his Apple pie.

Cornerstone would like to thank: Everyone who donated to the Race for Education; Silva Family Dentistry for sponsoring the Harvest Festival; Hannaford in Ossipee and Wal-mart in Rochester for their generous food donations; Bly Farm in Wolfeboro and The Mountain Grainery in Ossipee for donating pumpkins for the Pumpkin Decorating Contest.
